In an era of digital screens and rising pollution, eye strain and vision problems have become common. Ayurveda provides natural and effective therapies for eye care. Netra Tarpanam, a soothing treatment where medicated ghee is retained over the eyes, nourishes optic nerves and improves vision. Shiro-Abhyangam (head massage) and Padabhyangam (foot massage) calm the nervous system, which is closely linked to eye health. Nasyam, another important therapy, clears toxins from the head and enhances circulation to the eyes. These treatments balance Pitta dosha, often responsible for eye-related issues like dryness, redness, and fatigue. Combined with lifestyle tips such as regular blinking, natural lighting, and herbal eye washes, Ayurvedic eye care offers preventive and therapeutic benefits. Regular sessions rejuvenate the eyes, improve clarity, and help maintain healthy vision over time.
